Primary function:
Replacement of item(s) lost as a result of a courtesy return between any two SEKLS libraries.
A courtesy return happens when a patron checks out at Library A and returns at Library B. Library B is encouraged to send the item back to Library A via the courier. In the event that the item is lost in transit as a result of a courtesy return, this fund will supply a replacement for the missing item.
Important information:
- Claims will be filled with a replacement copy only; no financial reimbursement will be made
- Replacement copies may be new or like new
- Newer editions or newer titles with similar subject matter may be substituted at the discretion of SEKLS staff
- Claims may be made 2 months after the due date
- Claims must be made within 1 year of the due date
